Find out how we have developed over time and our plans for the future.
A group of us sat in a weekly coffee morning and wondered what we could achieve if we only had a space to work from and to collaborate with others.
We set up a pop-up co-working space in the Crosby One centre to see what people thought of the concept.
We tried another concept space above Mama Roxsam on the high street. We converted their upstairs space into a meeting room and training space. We ran digital innovation and marketing workshops in the evenings.
We secured funding from the Community Led Local Development (CLLD) programme and started work on developing Park Library into our first space.
Our new space has a great sense of community with many people coming to use it.
We set up a Pantry for anyone to come and purchase good food for low prices which is also great way to reduce food waste.
A monthly market was started and happens on the first Saturday of every month. We encourage people to come and browse or even get a stall to sell your crafts.
We added more members to our team.
Our groups have really taken off, with more and more people showing up each time.
Our Youth projects have had a great impact on the children in the area.
We have several projects in the works; a container, a podcast studio and a youth project where young people can be rewarded for their work.
We are seeing a growing movement of people coming to use the space and projects are taking shape.
Our new container is now in place and new projects
Scunthorpe Tomorrow was launched in collaboration with the local community, businesses, charities and public sector organisations
Good Coffee has now launched it's second location at John Leggott College on a Monday and Friday.
If you are wanting to impact Scunthorpe but are struggling to know where to start, come and join others that started exactly where you are but then met others that were a little further down the path.
We do not suggest we know all the solutions, but we are motivated to find what works one idea at a time.
Together we are nurturing the skills and creativity that are essential for community prosperity and well-being.
Our doors are always open to those who wish to contribute their talents and energy towards making our community a better place.
Through collaborative events and projects, we aim to provide a platform for individuals to connect, grow, and contribute to our collective flourishing.
We believe in empowering each other to learn, innovate, and succeed.
